ActionFunder for Impact Projects at the Pitch Tent

The Pitch Tent is back and aiming to raise funding for Impact Projects across the UK

Following on from a successful launch last October, The Pitch Tent, a feature that allows impact businesses the opportunity to get on stage and pitch to a room full of investors, will be back at the Blue Earth Summit.

The Pitch Tent is aiming to raise £10m+ for businesses and projects that have a positive impact on people and planet. Alongside ‘Businesses for Good’ two brand new categories have been added; ‘Pioneering Adventurers’ and ‘Impact Projects’.

Impact Projects are grassroots initiatives that will create genuine, positive change for our blue earth and its people, with the category hosted by ActionFunder, the B Corp that matches businesses with local non-profits to create real change. ActionFunder’s online giving tool and team of experts make it easy for businesses to back local communities so that both sides can create measurable impact, fast.

Calling Project Leaders

Non-profits (including registered charities, community groups, social enterprises and more) from across the UK are invited to come and pitch for funding from an expert panel and a room full of investors, all of whom are actively looking to invest in and support impact projects. This category is for projects with a focus on climate, biodiversity, sustainability, social mobility, increasing access to nature, sport and wellbeing.

Impact Projects can pitch for up to £10k of funding, with the final funding amount agreed at investors’ discretion and finalised outside of the event itself.

Applications are now open through the ActionFunder platform and will close on Thursday 8th September, following which we will release a shortlist of 10 projects that will be whittled down to four finalists to take to the stage on October 12th.

Off The Stage, In The Spotlight

Whether your project makes it all the way to the final or comes up short this time around, your Impact Project will benefit from the ultimate opportunity to gain exposure and connect with funders.

All project pitches will also stay live on the ActionFunder platform to match with any future funding opportunities.
