We started the business because we couldn't find a decent casual suit and were tired of struggle to dress smart casually. It became clear quickly that this was a problem shared by many.
It wasn't until we started looking into starting the business that we realised the extent of the damage the fashion industry it causing and so felt obliged to do something about it.
However, we were coming from an angle of two founders that wouldn't have considered ourselves to be particularly conscious consumers, and so came the next question - why?
We discovered that the two key drivers to purchase are price and quality, unfortunately for most people sustainability slides right down to the bottom of the list when it comes to actually making a purchase decision.
The made-to-order Batch production model was the perfect solution to both problems. If you only make exactly what you need it not only cuts out all the waste and overproduction, but it also allows us to deliver a significantly higher quality for a lot less.
Better for people, better for the planet, better for business.
