Borough Broth
Grow
Borough Broth was founded in 2015 by Ros Heathcote, whose personal journey to overcome health challenges led her to rediscover the healing power of real food. When nothing else worked, Ros turned to nutrition, and the results were transformative. But she soon realised that despite the UK’s booming food scene, there was no organic, slow-cooked bone broth available to buy.
A serendipitous encounter with a local butcher revealed just how much potential was being wasted: every week, huge volumes of high-quality British bones were being discarded. Seeing both a gap in the market and an opportunity to promote sustainable nutrition, Ros began crafting small-batch, organic bone broths using a traditional, additive-free recipe — one that still forms the foundation of Borough Broth today.
Nearly a decade later, Borough Broth has grown from a kitchen project into a certified B Corp and Soil Association Organic business, proudly supporting British farmers and employing a London Living Wage team. The brand remains deeply rooted in Ros’s founding values: health, integrity, and sustainability, delivering nourishment and flavour without compromise.
Its mission is to make wholesome, slow-cooked food accessible for modern life, offering real nourishment and convenience in every pack.
Its vision is to become a household staple across the UK, helping people eat better, waste less, and rediscover the joy of simple, nutrient-rich cooking.
