Founded by three MBA graduates from the University of Oxford, Gyre Energy was born from a shared mission to decarbonise global energy systems by tackling one of the most overlooked climate challenges — cooling. Recognising that refrigeration, data centres, and HVAC systems consume vast amounts of energy, the founders developed a platform that combines affordable hardware with AI-driven optimisation software to dramatically improve efficiency.
In just 18 months, the team has raised its first investment round, grown its workforce, and deployed its technology with its first customer. Their mission is simple yet impactful: to “make AI cool.” By building a scalable cooling platform that reduces both carbon emissions and operational costs across sectors like cold storage, commercial buildings, and data centres, the company envisions a future where smart, sustainable cooling plays a central role in the clean energy transition.
