Founded in 2019 by Olivia Page and Valentina Dipietro, Mykor was born from a shared vision to rethink how we build and the materials we use. Combining Olivia’s architectural expertise in sustainable construction with Valentina’s background in product design and mycelium research, the duo set out to replace carbon-intensive materials with biotechnology-powered alternatives.
After years of experimentation, from Valentina’s mycelium homeware line to Olivia’s research into waste-based composites, they reunited in 2022 with a bold mission: to create carbon-negative insulation that performs better than traditional products while actively restoring the planet.
Mykor’s mission is to turn one of the world’s most polluting industries into a climate solution, proving that high performance, accessibility, and sustainability can coexist. Their vision is a regenerative built environment — where every building locks away carbon and contributes to planetary healing, ending the era of extractive construction and ushering in a future built by nature, for nature.
