Co-founded by Sandra and Nick Sassow, SEaB Energy was born from a shared belief that waste should never be wasted. With backgrounds spanning climate-tech entrepreneurship, computer science, biology, economics, and engineering, the pair combined their expertise to develop a scalable solution to two of the world’s most pressing challenges: food waste and clean energy.
Their innovation, a modular, containerised anaerobic digestion system, enables organisations to process their organic waste directly at the source, transforming it into renewable energy and natural by-products such as fertiliser and heat. This decentralised model reduces transport emissions, cuts landfill dependency, and supports real progress toward net-zero and circular economy goals.
SEaB’s mission is to eliminate organic waste as a problem and unlock its value as a clean energy source. Its vision is a future where businesses, campuses, and communities worldwide operate their own micro-power plants, creating self-sufficient local energy systems that collectively deliver large-scale decarbonisation.
By democratising access to waste-to-energy technology, SEaB Energy is redefining sustainability as both a practical and profitable reality, proving that what we throw away can power a regenerative future.
