Ailsa has worked with fishing and aquaculture industries, marine conservation organisations, wild salmon trusts, and marine policy making bodies, she is passionate about Scotland’s inshore waters, the rivers that flow into them, and the people and species that rely on them for survival.
She has campaigned against kelp dredging in Scotland, and continues to campaign for urgent change in Scotland’s fisheries management, which benefits few at the expense of the environment and the people. Ailsa has set up and run a commercial oyster farm, and currently works for Seawilding, rolling out their marine habitat restoration work in the North West of Scotland.
