As a pro climber Emma was the first British woman to climb 9a and is one of few female climbers to have trad climbed E9, becoming the second British woman to do so.
She has also Alpine climbed 8a/+ in the Dolomites. Alongside this she has been involved in local community climate assemblies, and works closely with the BMC to promote good crag etiquette, highlight access restrictions due to birds and educate people on the value of the outdoors.
