Speaker Bio

Kevin is a former teacher of Physical Education, Languages and IT in North Devon. He has been extensively involved in practising and promoting water safety and lifesaving, and was the recipient of a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship which allowed him to study lifeguarding techniques in the USA. He is an avid, and well-travelled, surfer, having helped develop the coaching schemes for the British Surfing Association, Surfing UK and Surfing England. He is Chair of Trustees of the Museum of British Surfing, a parish councillor, a community partner of the North Devon Coast AONB and, most recently, a proud co-founder of the North Devon World Surfing Reserve.
