Speaker Bio

I was raised in southwest England, and spent my days in the wild hills, forests and seas of the Jurassic Coast, before living in Amsterdam, The French Pyrenees, Portland OR and now at the feet of the Swiss Alps. The outdoors is where I set my compass, so for me, the outdoor industry has always been a natural fit.

I’m driven by a desire to create timeless, progressive, sustainable performance products that elevate the athlete’s experience. Doing this using only natural and bio-based materials is a purposeful challenge that requires lateral thinking and a curious mindset. Quite uniquely, sustainability has been ingrained in the icebreaker brand since day one, it’s non-negotiable.

icebreaker is all about relationships. We’re closely connected with our supply chain, all the way back to the land that the sheep graze, which allows us to fine-tune the end product throughout the entire creation process, from dirt to shirt! It’s this level of involvement that enables true innovation and sustainability. 

I believe we can lead the performance apparel industry in a more positive direction, by constantly exploring, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible with natural fibres and sustainable development, and by demonstrating that there is a better way to equip yourself for natural adventures.
