Climate science. Behavioural psychology. Showbiz. That’s the unique blend powering AimHi Earth, the newest member of Blue Earth Ventures and a company on a mission to reshape how global workforces engage with sustainability.
We recently sat down with Sarah Humphrys, CEO and co-founder of AimHi, on the Blue Earth Podcast to explore their journey, from an unlikely WhatsApp message that sparked a founding team, to training over 150,000 people in their first year, to working today with global brands like PepsiCo, Unilever, Sky and Paramount.
Now, AimHi are raising £1.5m through Blue Earth Ventures to scale their immersive, tech-enabled training platform to reach tens of thousands more employees across enterprise businesses worldwide.
The Problem: Sustainability Targets Without People Power
Around 70% of the world’s biggest businesses already have sustainability goals in place. But as Sarah explains, “they generally fall short because it’s a people problem. Employees lack the knowledge, the skills, and the accountability to carry them out.”
Too often, sustainability is siloed. The CSO is left alone, emails are forwarded their way, and the rest of the workforce isn’t engaged. AimHi exists to change that dynamic.
The Solution: Training Built to Inspire Action
AimHi delivers immersive, live online programmes that feel more like an interactive TV show than a training module. Sessions are engaging, energised, and adaptable across languages and cultures, while grounded in behavioural psychology that sticks.
Working with PepsiCo, AimHi has trained employees across 20 countries in six languages, helping everyone from finance teams to supply chain managers understand how their role connects to regenerative agriculture and climate resilience.
And the results are measurable. Over 90% of trainees report tangible behaviour change after AimHi training, a level of impact that proves communication and accountability matter just as much as strategy.
The Founding Story: From Frustration to Formation
Sarah’s journey began with frustration. With a background in environmental anthropology, she was struck by how poorly climate experts communicated urgency, failing to move people to action.
Then came a WhatsApp message from Matthew J Shribman, a science communicator with millions of YouTube views. Together with Bella Soares, a tech entrepreneur with experience scaling startups, the three co-founders formed AimHi in 2021.
From strangers with a shared frustration, AimHi has grown into a thriving team of product, operations, and sales leaders, now backed by a fast-growing client base and a clear path to scale.
Why Now: Scaling for Systemic Change
To date, AimHi has doubled revenue three years in a row and built a pipeline worth over £2.5m ARR. But scaling their impact means moving from bespoke, high-touch delivery to a global, tech-enabled platform.
That’s why they’re raising £1.5m through Blue Earth Ventures — to:
- Scale delivery from a handful of enterprise clients to hundreds worldwide
- Expand language and cultural adaptations for training at scale
- Productise impact measurement, ensuring companies can track real behaviour change
- Build long-term engagement models, embedding training into onboarding and annual refresh cycles
As Sarah puts it, “Our mission is to upskill and transform complex global workforces so they can mitigate climate risks and accelerate positive action. It’s about equipping every employee (not just sustainability teams) to be part of the solution.”
The Opportunity
With demand from major enterprises already strong, AimHi is poised to become the go-to partner for climate and sustainability workforce training. Their model is sticky, scalable, and proven, and it sits squarely in the sweet spot of impact and returns that today’s investors demand.
For investors and corporates alike, AimHi represents not just a business, but a lever for systemic change.
