London: The New Home of Climate Action
Blue Earth Forum 2025 Official Impact Summary

This year, London Climate Action Week didn’t just showcase innovation, it made a statement.

At the heart of it all was Blue Earth Forum, the official Innovation Hub of LCAW 2025. Returning with a bolder format, new partnerships, and a relentless focus on solutions, the Forum tripled in size and ambition, cementing London’s place as the new global capital for climate-led business.

Over a few days, the Forum convened a powerful cross-section of the climate ecosystem: early-stage startups, institutional investors, major brands, policy leaders, media, and movement-makers. It wasn’t just about talking. It was about what happens next.

A movement on a mission: What Happened at Blue Earth Forum.

From Ideas to Action

We opened London Climate Action Week with a bang, welcoming over 650 guests to our Opening Reception before diving into two full days of bold discussions and business matchmaking.

Day 1 included the launch of Destination Electric from OVO, unpacking the rapid shift to electric living; Circular by Nature with Woolmark, exploring regenerative materials and innovation in textiles; and Rewriting the Energy Playbook with Greenvolt, focused on decentralised power systems.

Meanwhile, HSBC Innovation Banking and BAE HQ hosted roundtables to explore how to unlock cross-sector innovation and fast-track capital into climate tech.

Bringing Business and Investment Together

The pitching stage is at the centre of the action. Across both days, 50 handpicked startups pitched their solutions live, representing sectors from clean mobility to AI-powered climate insights.

Investor panels featured major players including Energy Impact Partners, JamJar Investments, EKA Ventures, Triodos, Active Partners, Joelson, Box Fund, Foresight Group, Innovate UK, Carbon13, and many more. Each panel session dug deep into what makes an investment move.

Nature-Based Solutions Take Centre Stage

A standout conversation: Investing in Nature: What Returns Can Investors Expect? brought together leaders from Ecologi, Triodos, Howden Group, and Oxygen Conservation to explore the case for investing in natural capital. It marked a significant shift: nature-based solutions are no longer “nice to have” on the impact agenda. They’re central to investment portfolios looking to future-proof returns.

Digital Innovation for a Regenerative Future

Vodafone shared how infrastructure and connectivity can accelerate environmental progress, while Mastercard ran a closed-door session on gamification and behavioural science to shift consumer systems, proving that digital can do more than scale, it can regenerate.

London’s Role: A City Leading From the Front

London didn’t just host the Forum, it amplified it.

From backing by the Mayor’s Office to a groundswell of political and corporate will, this city is positioning itself as the launchpad for climate leadership. The capital is attracting investment, enabling innovation, and creating a platform for action like never before.

“We’re building a fairer, greener London, and events like Blue Earth are central to that. Innovation, investment and action are on tap here. London is the place to be.” Mete Coban, Deputy Mayor for Business, London.

More Than an Event: A Movement

“Blue Earth Forum put the ‘A’ in action this week. The conversation has finally shifted, from awareness to real-world solutions. We’ve been proud to provide a platform for the world’s most exciting innovations in climate and impact.” Will Hayler, CEO of Blue Earth

From one-on-one investor meetings and high-stakes pitches to off-stage conversations in the breakout zones, the Forum was designed for momentum. And it was delivered.

“We’ve seen ambition on a whole new level. From the size of the Forum to the quality of conversations happening in every corner, it’s clear the movement is accelerating.” Guy Hayler, COO at  Blue Earth Ventures

A Celebration of Action: The 1% for the Planet Party

To close the Forum, we brought the energy into the evening with our legendary 1% for the Planet Party, a celebration of environmental giving, climate creativity, and business as a force for good.

Co-founder Guy Hayler joined 1% CEO Kate Williams on stage to share the story behind the partnership, before a live podcast session with climate adventurer Hannah Cox spotlighted Project Salt Run, a 4,200km mission across India retracing a colonial customs line to raise awareness and inspire a new wave of climate activism.

With DJs, climate-conscious cocktails, and late-night connections, it was proof that purpose can be powerful and joyful.

The Takeaway? This Is Just the Beginning

Blue Earth Forum 2025 showed what’s possible when business, investment, and innovation align. It built
bridges between solutions and investors. It created space for truth-telling, solution-building, and celebration. And above all, it sparked momentum.

The climate clock is ticking. But this week, the hands moved forward, together.
