Bees for Development
Bees for Development is the global charity that makes life better with bees. It promotes sustainable beekeeping as a powerful tool to combat poverty, build resilient livelihoods, and support biodiversity.
Founded in 1993, the charity works in partnership with organisations in Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Malawi, Peru, Uganda, and Zimbabwe – and on a smaller scale with many other countries worldwide. Bees for Development advocates low-cost, locally appropriate, nature-based beekeeping techniques. Its work has grown over the years to encompass training, mentorship, market access, youth education, and village savings groups.
Bees for Development’s impact spans all 17 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
