The Outdoor Industries Association (OIA)
The Outdoor Industries Association (OIA) CIC is the trade body for manufacturers, retailers and other organisations that provide products and services for the outdoor leisure pursuits market in the United Kingdom. We are comprised of retailers, distributors, outdoor brands, service providers, NGB's, NGO's and associates.
The role of the OIA is to provide leadership and promote the outdoors, persuasively representing the industry’s interests in all activities and at every level and be a high profile, campaigning organisation. We are a membership organisation, representing the interests of our members and the whole industry, covering a wide range of outdoor recreational activities.
The OIA is registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) – which means it does not make a profit, the board of directors are volunteers, and membership donations can be taken against tax. We invest our funds into not only securing direct membership benefits for our member's businesses but also undertaking key activities to support the outdoor sector as a whole.
We are here to Engage, Represent, Support and Promote the outdoor recreation sector, with a vision to "Get Britain Active Outside".
