Adib Dada is an internationally recognized regenerative advisor, environmental architect, and founder of theOtherDada (tOD), an advisory and architecture practice, pioneering nature-based design rooted in biomimicry and systems thinking. His work bridges architecture, ecology, and art to regenerate cities and restore biodiversity, advancing a new paradigm where the built environment develops into a living system for all of Life to thrive. Through his award-winning initiative, theOtherForest, Adib has planted over 20 native Miyawaki forests, transforming degraded urban sites into thriving ecosystems while mobilizing thousands of community members. His advocacy and forest-making have been published in books, most recently in Nature Based Solutions in Cities of the Global South (Routledge), Hannah Lewis’ Mini-Forest Revolution (Chelsea Green), Naomi Zurcher’s Connecting Trees with People (Springer), and his writings are part of several publications. A sought-after speaker and educator, Adib has lectured at institutions such as Cambridge and Yokohama Universities, SxSW Eco Austin, MOMA New York, World Expo Dubai and the Saudi Green Building Forum. He is a Bio-Leadership Fellow and a Fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
