Helen Browning OBE is a pioneering organic farmer and the Chief Executive of the Soil Association, a UK charity dedicated to promoting sustainable food, farming, and land use. She has led the organization since 2011, building upon her extensive experience in agriculture and public policy. Helen manages Eastbrook Farm in Wiltshire, where she produces organic meat and operates a pub and mini-hotel, Helen Browning’s Royal Oak, on the premises. Her work emphasizes the interconnectedness of soil health, animal welfare, and sustainable food systems. Helen was awarded an OBE in 1998 for her services to organic farming and has served on various influential agricultural commissions, including the ‘Curry Commission’ on the Future of Farming and Food.
