Speaker Bio

An environmentalist and marketing expert, Amanda campaigned to reduce plastic pollution globally via her non-profit Less Plastic which she founded in 2015, and her book ‘Plastic Game Changer’ which she wrote in 2019 to help organisations reduce plastic waste.

Now running the Devon Environment Foundation, which channels funds to local nature-based solutions, she is driven to go beyond ‘minimising our negative impact’; striving for the more ambitious and rewarding goal of ‘maximising our positive impact’ via nature regeneration and restoration to repair the damage we’ve caused.

She lives in Kingsbridge, South Devon with her husband and teenage sons, connecting with nature daily on woodland or coastal walks or sea dips
