Speaker Bio

Dan Yates is the Partnership Manager for Protect Our Winters Europe, an organisation dedicated to helping passionate outdoor people protect the places and lifestyles they love from climate change. Here he focuses on bringing climate advocacy opportunities to outdoor brands and the wider outdoor industry.

With a background in whitewater kayaking and exploration Dan has paddled some of the remotest and hardest rivers across Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia over the last 25 years, with kayaking defining his love of the environment and his desire to protect it. He has spent the last decade as an environmental campaigner with his activism focused on engaging the outdoor community in the preservation of our last wild places, be they in the heart of the Himalayas or behind the local village.
