Speaker Bio

Dave is a long time climber who has worked for the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) in access, environmental and CEO rolls for the last 25 years. In the mid/late 1990s Dave worked in Environmental Consultancy undertaking Environmental Impact Assessments for marine and coastal engineering schemes, then after an 18 stint as BMC CEO he switched to become Head of Access, Conservation & Environmental for the organisation in 2021. He has climbed in 20 or so countries including Mali, Mozambique, Venezuela, Patagonia and the Himalayas.
