Emmanuel Ameyaw is a Ghanaian journalist and Communications Specialist with a strong interest in Climate Adaptation. Currently, he works as Communications Officer for Youth Climate Council Ghana. In his role, He develops communications solutions to improve climate awareness in Ghana. He also influences youth climate policy at the national level by engaging key stakeholders and the government of Ghana.  Emmanuel works closely with key climate-focused agencies to advance the work of hundreds of young climate activists and youth-led climate organizations in Ghana.

Emmanuel worked as a Correspondent for Zambian based – MOZO TV. He also served as a Business News Anchor and Producer of Spotlight Business on MX24 TV. Prior to working with Black Volta Publications (MX24 TV), He served as a Senior Reporter at TV Africa.

He also worked as a Senior Producer for the channel’s primetime news bulletin – News Hour.  He has published articles on climate change and its impact on communities in Ghana across major news outlets. His long-standing passion for climate journalism has seen him work in different capacities across TV, online, and print media.

In 2021, he founded Ghana’s foremost climate-focused news portal – The Climate Insight. He was selected by the World Bank as a 2021 Innovate4climate Media Fellow. He is a member of the Oxford Climate Journalism Network. He is also a 2021 Global Investigative Journalism Conference (GIJC) Fellow.
