Speaker Bio

A former downhill mountain bike world champion from Wales, Manon is a life-long mountain biker who stepped away from the race scene after eight years on the world stage.

Now a Specialised Soil Searching and Patagonia ambassador, filmmaker and Earth Science researcher, Manon has shifted focus from competition to exploring climate and environmental issues through the lens of mountain biking, making use of her platform to raise awareness. She recently co-directed ‘Winds of Change’ alongside Tommy Wilkinson of DWACO content studio, documenting the impact Storm Arwen and subsequent storms in 2021 had on mountain biking communities and facilities in the NE of the UK.
