Blue Earth Summit

Kendal Mountain Festival is delighted to announce the line-up for the Blue Earth Summit, uniting two of the UK’s leading events that celebrate adventure, storytelling, and environmental action.

For the first time, Kendal’s Festival Director Steve Scott will present a specially curated film programme at
the Summit ahead of the Festival. This exclusive programme of short new films features world-premiere
public screenings, inspiring adventure stories, powerful environmental documentaries, and live filmmaker
conversations.

Film highlights include:

• BOGS | The Magic of Peat – A visually stunning short revealing the beauty and vital role of
  peatlands in carbon storage, accompanied by a guest speaker.
• Mother River – Charting Devin Brown’s historic journey to become the first Black woman to kayak
  the Mississippi River.
• The Crux of Juggling – A heartfelt portrait of balancing climbing, parenting, and passion in
  Albarracín’s bouldering community.
• Hellbent – A vérité short exploring America’s wild horse crisis through one woman’s story of courage
  and dialogue.
• Meije and New Terrain – Bold Alpine adventures at the cutting edge of action sports combined with
  deeply personal journeys pushing the limits of exploration.

This collaboration will bring Summit delegates closer to the heart of Kendal Mountain Festival and the
dynamic storytelling platform it has become today. Filmmaker insights and short Q&As will deepen the
connection between audience and story.
