Meet the six finalists of the inaugural BE:IMPACT Prize
Six courageous charity campaigns are heading to Blue Earth Summit, ready to share their stories, grow their impact and take centre stage.
Today, we’re proud to announce the six finalists of the inaugural BE:IMPACT Prize.
Created by Blue Earth with Founding Partner The Kindness Forecast, BE:IMPACT was launched to give smaller UK charities the funding, visibility, connections and storytelling support to take powerful campaigns further.
The response showed just how much important work is happening across the charity sector—and how many of those stories deserve a bigger platform. After an extensive shortlisting and judging process, six campaigns stood out for their courage, clarity and potential to create meaningful change.
Six charity campaigns. One live stage. A much bigger opportunity.
From powerful work to a bigger platform
On 15 October, the finalists will pitch live at Blue Earth Summit in front of our audience, partners and expert judging panel.
The winner will receive £10,000 in unrestricted funding, while each of the other five finalists will receive £1,000—creating a total prize fund of £15,000.

Meet the finalists
From restoring reefs and rainforests to expanding access to education, nutritious food, refill systems and safe homes, these are the campaigns taking their stories to the Blue Earth stage.
Love The Oceans Conservation
Project BEAM: Underwater Weeding for Reef Restoration
Project BEAM is testing a simple but potentially transformative response to coral reef degradation in Mozambique: removing excess algae by hand to give coral space to recover.
The ambition is to create an affordable, community-led restoration model that can be replicated across Mozambique and beyond.
Tea Leaf Trust
Bringing Opportunity Home: The Talawakelle Pioneer Centre Campaign
Tea Leaf Trust is campaigning to establish a free education centre for young people living across approximately 18 underserved tea estates in Sri Lanka.
The centre would bring education, employability training and leadership development closer to communities where cost and geography remain major barriers to opportunity.
Thousand Year Trust
Restoring Britain’s Rainforests
Thousand Year Trust is building Europe’s first Atlantic Temperate Rainforest Research Station at Cabilla in Cornwall.
The station will provide a permanent home for the research needed to restore one of Britain’s rarest habitats—and turn a thousand-year vision into evidence-based action.
Made In Hackney
The Resilience Kitchen
The Resilience Kitchen brings food support, practical skills and community together.
Made In Hackney plans to transform surplus and donated food into more than 10,000 nutritious meals each year, while helping people build the confidence to cook affordable, healthy and climate-friendly food.
REUSE Foundation
Preventing Plastic Waste in Rural India
REUSE Foundation wants to prove that refill systems can work at scale in low-income communities.
Its campaign will take affordable refills to 30 rural Indian villages, create around 35 green jobs for women and prevent more than one million pieces of plastic packaging from becoming waste each year.
AzuKo
The Homemakers
The Homemakers will reclaim the phrase “a woman’s place is in the home” by celebrating women as the people designing, financing and building those homes.
Led through unscripted stories from women in Bangladesh and London, the campaign will challenge barriers to safe housing, land and property rights.
Making the winning impact go further
With Ecosystem Partner Big Give
The winner will also have the opportunity to unlock a minimum of £10,000 in match funding.
Big Give will work with the winning charity to identify the most appropriate match-funding campaign for them in 2027, subject to eligibility.
Together with the £10,000 Blue Earth prize and public donations, this could help the winning charity generate more than £40,000 of total impact.
The impact is already there
These six campaigns address very different challenges, in very different places. But they share something powerful: communities already creating change, with stories that deserve to travel further.
We cannot wait to welcome all six finalists to Blue Earth Summit, hear them tell those stories and see what the right platform, funding and connections can unlock.
The impact is already there. Now it’s time to put it centre stage.
