Emergent Energy is a pioneering clean-energy company working to make solar power accessible to people living in flats, particularly those in social housing. Its innovative model enables locally generated rooftop electricity to be supplied directly to residents, helping communities reduce household bills, improve long-term energy security and participate in the transition to a cleaner energy system.

Working with councils, housing providers, regulators and the wider energy industry, Emergent has helped overcome the technical and regulatory barriers that previously excluded many apartment residents from solar. Its award-winning Hackney project has installed more than 1MW of solar capacity across social housing and is delivering electricity-bill savings of approximately 15% for participating residents.
