Andy Cato moved into regenerative farming after selling his music rights and buying a farm in France, where he began testing how agriculture could work more closely with nature. Best known as one half of Groove Armada, he is now a regenerative farmer and Co-Founder of Wildfarmed. Years of field trials focused on soil health, biodiversity and fewer external inputs earned him France’s Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite Agricole and a national prize for agroecological innovation. In 2018, Andy joined George Lamb and Edd Lees to connect nature-rich grain with restaurants, schools and retailers. He is also a National Trust tenant farmer and Honorary Fellow of the Royal Agricultural University. Wildfarmed is his attempt to make those ideas practical, connecting healthier soil with grain that farmers can grow, businesses can buy and people can eat.
