Ben Goldsmith is a British financier, philanthropist, and environmentalist renowned for his leadership in sustainable investment and nature restoration. As CEO of Menhaden Capital, a London-listed investment trust, he focuses on energy and resource efficiency. Previously, he co-founded WHEB Asset Management, a pioneering sustainability-focused investment firm. Ben chairs the JMG Foundation, the Goldsmith family’s philanthropic arm, and co-founded the Conservation Collective, a global network of locally-focused environmental foundations. He has also served as a non-executive director at the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, contributing to the Agriculture Act 2020. Ben is a passionate advocate for rewilding and has been instrumental in campaigns for the reintroduction of species such as beavers and lynx across Britain and Europe.
