Deborah Meaden has little patience for purpose without proof. A businesswoman, investor and long-standing Dragon on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den, she has spent four decades building, buying and backing companies across sectors. Her experience includes leading a management buyout of a family holiday-park business and completing its later exit, alongside a wide portfolio of investments made through and beyond the programme. Deborah is also an outspoken advocate for biodiversity, responsible business and climate action. She presses founders to be clear about what they measure, where their impact begins and whether the commercial model can survive scrutiny. Her position is neither anti-growth nor impressed by a green label: credible transition needs intent, a baseline and visible progress. That mix of rigour and optimism has made her one of Britain’s most influential public voices on entrepreneurship with purpose.
